Since 1987 Anne-Marie has served as a missionary to Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe, first unofficially affiliated with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students, since 1993 as a missionary of the Reformed Mission League (GZB) in the Protestant Church in the Netherlands. Early April 2016, she was re-commissioned for her work in Central and Eastern Europe by the Reformed Sion Congregation in Houten, the Netherlands, her supporting church since the autumn of 1993, in cooperation with the GZB. In announcing new appointment, the presbytery of her sending church expressed: „We are grateful and pleased to announce that a new opportunity is found for Anne-Marie, where her knowledge, gifts, and experience in the field of missiology, can be fully used for the benefit of Central and Eastern Europe.”

GZB supports local churches and Christian organizations across the globe to be a living and witnessing community of faith, that shares the Gospel in word and deed. GZB sends out mission workers at the request of the partner or in new opportunity situations, if GZB has suitable and qualified candidates.

GZB sends out professionals (long-term, 4+ years), young professionals (1-2 years) and short-term volunteers (6-12 months).

Moreover, GZB provides financial project support to our partners, also in situations where there is no mission worker involved. GZB works in the following areas:

  • Evangelism and church planting
  • Theological education (including seminaries, Bible colleges, TEE and discipleship & leadership training)
  • Bible translation and distribution
  • Youth work
  • Diaconate
  • Medical care
  • Education and income-generating projects
  • Capacity building
  • Disaster relief

GZB works in 26 different countries (in Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Latin America) and has commissioned 58 mission workers worldwide (sometimes in cooperation with other organizations, like OMF and Wycliffe).

Congregations in the Netherlands support this ministry through prayer, mission workers and finances. Around 350 congregations are supporting the work of GZB.
